BORGWARD BX7

The BORGWARD BX7 is a prototype close to series production. Targeted at the market for large mid-size SUVs, a segment that is highly popular around the world, the 4.70-metre newcomer boasts an innovative AWD system, powerful plug-in hybrid drive technology and the very latest in communications and entertainment systems. PROTECT, an all-round intelligent occupant-safety concept, guarantees outstanding safety. This includes pioneering vehicle-dynamics and driver-assistance systems with a preventive function to help avoid collisions. Should, however, the worst come to the worst, passive restraint systems and a highly stable passenger compartment with precisely defined deformation zones provide reliable protection and can significantly mitigate the consequences of an accident for vehicle occupants. Further highlights of this new SUV include an outstandingly spacious interior for a vehicle of this class, with up to seven seats, and BORGWARD’s hallmark design quality in line with the brand’s guiding principle of modern tradition. Borgward will introduce the BX models to European markets in 2017.

BORGWARD BX7 TS

The BORGWARD BX7 TS is the dynamically athletic top-of-the-line model of the production series. Especially sporty BORGWARD models already bore the initials “TS” (Touring Sport) back in the 1950s. This tradition will now be continued by the young but history-conscious premium automaker in models such as the BX7 TS AWD and the BORGWARD PROJEKT BX6 TS. In addition to the chromed, diamond-shaped symbols and the OCTAGON grille with its similarly chromed BORGWARD brand logo with elegant red inserts, the typical TS features include especially designed light alloy wheels, bumpers, door sill trims, claddings in the vehicle color, and brushed aluminum decorative trim. The front bumper contains big air intakes with perfectly integrated fog lights. The rear bumper is slit open at the sides and harmoniously integrates the rear fog lights and reflectors. The chrome and red TS lettering decorates the front fenders, the rear hatch, and the brake calipers.

Plus X Award for the Borgward BX7 model series

After receiving the Red Dot Award for outstanding design at the beginning of 2016, the BORGWARD BX7 model series from the young yet history-conscious company has now also impressed the judges of the Plus X Award. As a result, the dynamically athletic SUV was presented with the world’s leading innovation award for technology, sports, and lifestyle in the categories Design, High Quality, Ergonomics, and Functionality. In addition, the BX7 was declared “SUV of the Year 2016/2017.”
